Looking for old post of Jim's 131" problems?
« on: June 26, 2010, 11:44:24 AM »

I can't seem to locate the post concerning a member having issues with his Jim's 131". I can only remember he was working through dealers when his motor failed. I also remember a few members changing their minds about getting a Jim's 131 due to the poor customer service. If I remember right he was working this out with two dealers and Jim's, at the time he was not receiving much support from Jim's. I was at the HD service department yesterday when I recognised a guy's bike that had a Jim's 120". It seems it heated up to over 300 degrees and shut down. They found some valve components fried and when they started the tear down they found a piece of hose that was lodged into a component.  (he wouldn't tell me where it was) it appears to be over 4" long and wedged in there real tight. This had to have been there during the manufacturing process and was there the whole time. The owner has 5,000 miles on his 120. Anyway Jim's wasn't being to cooperative so I told him I remember a CVO owner having difficulties and maybe I could obtain some info for him. Can anyone help me locate the post?

Thanks

You're probably after Ken Walker's episode with a Jim's engine.
