Buy the power vents,  they equalize the pressure between the crank case and outside air,  pipe them through the intake backing plate (with the kit provided) and ride like hell......no sh$t dide,  best mod out there..........

So what's the difference in how crank pressure is maintained in the powervent model and the one with the connector tube?  Or any other like a BS or SE?  If the heads are venting to the throttlebody or the ground, what's the difference?
PowerVents are a one-way valve, pressure is allowed to escape.....and the misty oil with it.  A Big Sucker with it's internal channel to the TB probably uses the velocity of the air rushing by to draw the mist out of the heads.  Maybe not since there isn't a way for the air to enter.
But still, I always saw PowerVents or any others as a necessary item for engines running velocity stacks.  With stacks, there isn't a clean way to vent into the stack and not have them looking crappy from the oil mist coating the inside surfaces.
Am I screwed in my logic???   [smiley=drink.gif]

Tally,
At high engine spreeds, air can be sucked back up through the breather (on the pistons upstroke) creating additional pressure in the top end (the one way valve eliminates that and reduces pressure).  The results are gasket longevity and a little extra juice....
IMHO

That's part of my point,  Power Vents can be just hung from the breather holes (and not let outside unclean air back in),  but under hard riding conditions,  the oil mist condenses and drips onto the timing cover (that's why I piped mine into the breather backing plate).  Doherty now offers the plumbing hardware included with his kit.
