Reno-March 17-24
« on: February 22, 2006, 05:36:01 PM »

My wife just purchased a new FLHX and wants it to run "just like her '04 Road King" with a SE 95" kit and Rineharts.

Dan, I was up there last weekend.  Got down to 7 degrees at night and was snowing a little.....too much for a bike, thow.  Not sure, but I'd guess that mid-March is a roll of the dice.  You can PM me in early Mar. and I'll let you know what the weather forecast is or you can go on line and pull it up.  If you do go, I hope that you've got heated gear.

Let me know.

I spend a lot of time in Tahoe & Reno. As previously stated the weather can change by the minure. However we are usually riding our snowmobiles in shirt sleves in late March & April. I'd hang loose & keep an eye on the weather reports. You can be sure the temps drop rapidly after 3Pm and don't warm up until 10:00AM. I'll almost guarantee no matter what route you take you'll find blind icy sections of road in the shady areas at higher elevations.
Ride safe
