Need advise On SEUC 110" Upgrades W / Recall
« on: July 04, 2010, 04:20:48 PM »

Hey Guys,
Been quite sometime that I have been on here. So I am not up on the latest Do's And Dont"s that you all have figured out on your SEUC 110" Bikes. I have an 07 that I got a letter on from HD to do a free upgrade. That had a 2 year limit on it. Which ends in August. So I have to get my bike in for repairs. Which include : Improvements in cylinder head valve guides , Engine top end gasket design , Center crankcase bolts , ACR , And cylinder heads with valve guides.

   My questions are:

1) What has proven to be the best Cam's to go with ?  ( A HD tech recommended the SE 251'S ) With High compression 10.5 / 1 pistons.

2) Is there anything else that should be done while they have my motor tore down ???

3) Also I have the TM Autotune on it now. How have they proved out over the last couple of years ???  Would you leave it , Or what would you go with ???

I have the same bike. My advice is let them do the recall work and ride it.I completely tore mine apart and changed pretty much everything.Very expensive. IMHO i would't pull any more power out of it with the stock crankshaft. I had .006 on the pinion shaft so gear drive cams were out of the question and my oil pump was eating into the cam plate. I'm a big fan of the Thundermax I have three in use at the present..Love em.   PS- Those look like the stock pipes and air filter in the picture. If they are the T-Max isn't giving you all it can. My engine bone stock with the screamin eagle air filter and fullsac 1 3/4 baffles was a runner. Yes those stock 255 cams come alive!

Yes in that pic they were the stock pipes. I now have SE slip Ons . With a K & N AF. But would like some nice true duals of some kind.

Is this a standard 07 recall ?? I believe my 07 serk only had cylinder base gaskets replaced.
