How is the quality of the finished product? Is it comparable to the higher priced establishments previously mentioned on this site for fairings and hard bags?  Sounds like you are very satisfied. The finished product looks awesome.

Ray,
I'm sure the most discriminating eye could find flaws with most anything, but I'm pretty particular...I think most CVO owners are.  I'm very satisfied with the quality of the work that Jason did on the bags.  I know he went to great extremes to match the "candy" finish to perfection.  He tried to explain to me how the process works, but it's over my head.  All I know if there's no comparison to the overall appearance of the bike with these hard bags compared to the leather.

Appreciate the compliments.  The pics aren't the camera's fault...I think it's operator error   .   Besides, who in their right mind would spend all that hard earned money on something like a good camera when there's still chrome left to buy???

The bike looks great. I've been contimplating a fairing and hard bags as well....Maybe a good winter project.

I knocked my hard bag over on the driveway and scuffed up the lid pretty good.  Uncle Harley wants $475 for a new lid.  Do you think the paint shop could fix it up for me?

I agree with Hooligan, that would be a nice winter project. Since I only have the original leather bags what would the total cost be for the painted bags, shipping and hardware. Any info available for the fairing? Since you are satisfied with the quality it is well worth looking into the total set up. That is a real nice looking SERK, congrats.

Jason @ JV's Custom Paint was my painter.  I know he repainted a used set of bags same as mine and sold them for $900 plus shipping without the hardware, which would probably cost you a couple hundred extra.  He sold them on this site within 2 hours of posting them.  That brings you around $1200 total.  I bought my bags on eBay with the hardware for $550 and had him repaint them.  All total, I still had around 1200 in them, but MOCO wants about 1500 a piece for them...and I don't think that includes the hardware.  The fairing is a Memphis Shades...it came with the bike when I bought it so I don't know how much it cost, probably not more than 200-300 unpainted.  I'm sure Jason would treat you right for the paint on it, too.

I couldn't be more pleased with the new look of the SERK...I kept the leather bags for the future owner if I ever sell, but I don't think I'll ever be putting them back on.  I like the hardbags too much.

I have a Fairing, Hardbags and King Tour Pak being painted at Bigfaty's (Gene's) right now for my SERK3, can't wait to get them here and get them on the bike.
