We left Florida aboard the Auto Train to Lorton Va. Arrived Sun. a.m. ready to ride. We, my wife Softhog(Liz),Guy and Jean and Chelsea, and I (Shortdog)
made the short ride to Gettysburg and visited the Visitor Center then the battlefield Monday. Great place. Left Tuesday and went down to Sharpsburg and on to Harper's Ferry. Then on to Skyland Lodge on Skyline Drive for two nights. Down the Blue Ridge to Buena Vista, stayed in Lexington and then cross country to New River Gorge. Down W.V. 41 to Beckley and 77 to Hillville, Va. Back on the Blue Ridge at Meadows of Dan down to Linville, N.C. Took the ride to the top Of Grandfather Mtn. then to Linville Falls. Down N.C. 181 to Morganton then to Forest City. On to Gaffney S.C. to ride Cherokee Foothills Trail then Savannah River
Scenic Byway and into Ga. Over to Madison down through Macon to Tifton. Then dodged the rain home. What a ride, what a trip with great friends.
I know this thread is worthless without pics, but I have to resize a lot of them. I'll post some here now.
This is Chelsea and I with Abe at the Visitor Center.
I should point out Chelsea is 14 years old.

Little Cove Rd is great (just west of Gettysburg) and heads towards Hancock MD

Battlefield HD is a fun dealership to visit also............
