Engine Vibration
« on: February 24, 2006, 10:08:15 AM »

I beleive I have a problem with excessive vibration on my 2006 SEUC. A friend has a 2006 which does not vibrate nearly as much. The bike has 600 miles and I took it to the dealer to have this checked out. The motormount had completely failed and they installed the new polyurethane version. The bike still vibrates a lot when compared to my friend's; although less than it did before the new mount was installed.

At this point I don't know what to think. Does the engine have an inherent problem that led to the failure of the motor mount? Also, I heard that the new mounts are much stiffer and it is normal to have more vibration when compared to the old rubber ones. Still, I feel that there something wrong.

The bike has the SERT, A/C and SE Mufflers installed. The problem (percived?) was there before I installed this upgrades.

What do ya'll think? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

TexasSE;
If your comparing the vibration to a 88" ultra then there would be less vibration. The 103 motor is "stroked" and will vibrate more than the 88"er. It should, however, smooth out when you get the idle up.

My friend also has a Screamin' Eagle. He also made the same upgrades I made.
