2000/01 Grounding question
« on: July 14, 2010, 10:48:28 AM »

Does anyone know or is aware if grounding to the fairing bracket that is attached to the frame a good grounding point.  feels like metal but could be aluminum.

Thanks

Aluminum is metal and fine for grounding - your engine is aluminum and grounds go to that.

There is a grounding point on the right side of the frame not far from the fairing brackets.  Bolt with a 5/16" head (I think that's right) holds ground wires there already.  Easy enough to get to yet still relatively hidden.

i'm sure that's better than aluminum too.. I've used that point and it works best.
