Solo Seats

What is the most comfortable solo seat for a FLTRSE3?  Also, will it accept the back rest and bracket I currently use with my stock seat?

This is one of the things I've been pondering... and as with everything else, everyone's got an opinion about what is/isn't best. Not sure too many, if any, of the aftermarket options will accept the OEM rider's backrest. My BSRs (wife/daughter) both detest the stock pillion, so I need something that will make mama happy if I want her to ride with me, but I also want a comfortable solo for me. I don't think any of the solos that offer an option to add a pillion are anything that is gonna fit the bill, which leaves me stuck considering buying two new seat, a touring seat with an acceptable pillion, and a solo w/backrest for me.

Looking forward to hearing the responses.

I have a Danny Gray Big seat solo with back rest on mine.  I also have the gel inserts.  Its pretty good and it has the option for a removable riders pillion in two sizes.  The back rest is adjustable fwd and aft and up and down.

However if I had to do it again I think I would go Mustang like I have on the fatboy.  It too has a detachable riders pillion and drivers back rest.  It is just a little more comfortable on 400 plus mile days.  It however does not have as good a look as the Danny Gray.

The Mustang rider backrests are smaller and contoured so as to fit the BSR and legs better. My wife can tolerate the rider backrest on the touring seat. (and she is quite vocal if something isn't right). But now that I think about it, I think my rider backrest is for their Dyna series, but it fits all the seats.

Hotrod ,if you end up buying something that wont work with your rider backrest I'd be interested in buying it from you. Would be much in shipping  ;D

Still kicking this one around myself... seems like Corbin and Mustang would be the two primary options if I wanted to have the option of adding a pillion. 90% of the time I ride solo, so I would definitely like a nice solo seat, but if I wanted my wife or daughter to make any more than a couple hour trips, I've got to find an option that will make them happy too...

Here's the pic of the seat and rider backrest.
