looking for a half cover for Ultra
« on: July 14, 2010, 10:18:29 PM »

I recently saw a picture of a screaming eagle "half" cover for a touring bike.

it was orange and covered seat, bat wing and tour pack.

the half covers are easier to use and take up a lot less room.

I cannot seem to find them .........

has anyone seen them or know what I am talking about?

Yes, that is it........

Do they work to keep bike dry when raining?

I have 2 full covers , but not easy to carry on the road

I believe (maybe wrongly) that there is a greater chance of someone not messing

with your bike when in strange motel parking lots if there is a cover on the bike.

at least no one sitting on your bike.....

Those are very nice Howie.  They fold small; really small.  They also work very well and deploy as easily as anything like this will.  Topping it all off is that they do all those thing and manage to be pretty inexpensive also.

I've got one of their bike covers and saddle covers in the saddlebag of each bike.  Used when the bikes are out overnight somewhere.  Too small not to just have with you.

Glad that was it Jeff.  Remembered seeing that before and it was the only thing I'd ever seen that at all matched the description you offered.  If they were just red instead of orange I'd give one serious thought.  But they're not; so my Exigent covers work oh so well...  :drink:

Just remembered that it was suggested to me by the guys manning the booth to be sure to purchase the one with the right fit ie tourpak vs no tourpak. Shared stories of covers manifesting into sails if wrong choice made. Hope this helps Jeff. As a side note I still procrastinate and haven't secured one myself  :huepfenlol2:  :drink: :drink:

I guess these are a total false sense of  security, but it helps me sleep in strange places.

You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, you sons of a silly person. I blow my nose at you, so-called "Arthur King," you and all your silly English K-nig-hts.

You've got two empty halves of coconut and you're bangin' 'em together.

So? We have ridden since the snows of winter covered this land, through the kingdom of Mercia, through...

Where'd you get the coconuts?

We found them.

Found them? In Mercia? The coconut's tropical!

What do you mean?

Well, this is a temperate zone

The swallow may fly south with the sun or the house martin or the plover may seek warmer climes in winter, yet these are not strangers to our land?

Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?

not at all. They could be carried.

What? A swallow carrying a coconut?

I bought one of these HD Oasis covers and really like it. It packs down so small, I keep it with me all the time. It deploys quick and easy, and even in a hard rain, keep everything pretty well dry.  Nice!

Thanks , that is good to know.

I am tired of carrying a full size cover, takes up to much room and very heavy
