R.I.P. BAKRDS

I haven't heard from Jim Williams AKA BAKRDS in a couple months and reached out to him to plan a ride this weekend.  I found out this morning (his 65th birthday) that he was killed instantly on his new SESG when a deer ran in front of him in Naples, NY in May.  He traded his '04 SEEG with 85,000 miles on it last fall for his newest Screamin' Eagle.  He knew the Finger Lakes region better than anyone I know and loved riding it.  You'll be missed my friend.

My condolences to BAKRDS friends and family....  God Bless....

It must have been both shocking and terribly sad to learn of your friends death in this way, Jim...   :(

Jim (BAKRDS) had been a member since May of 2004...

Jim (BAKRDS) had been a member since May of 2004...

It was shocking Scott.  We trade e-mails regularly and didn't dawn on me until a couple weeks that I haven't heard from him in a month or two.  I sent him a text earlier in the week and didn't receive a reply.  I found out from another friend through Facebook.  I was hoping to see him Sunday.  I'm glad I knew him.

I remember BAKRDS from his posts here.  Back in 04 there weren't that many members that it was easy to keep track of who is who and their posts.
