CVO Trike
« on: July 23, 2010, 04:58:24 PM »

Do you think the MoCo will ever produce a CVO Trike?  Now that I'm nearing 64 I would be in the market to trade my Ultra in on one should they ever make them.

I would expect to see one in the next few years. Then they can get $60,000 instead of the measly $40,000 they get for a two wheeler.  Maybe they can do a black one and bump that to $70,000

Buy a CVO and have it converted.... there are several company's that do trike conversions and probably will be better quality then what the MoCo could do. :nixweiss:

Wonder if it would cost about the same as adding a custom sidecar?  spyder

I was at my local dealer today small talkin. The Service Manager came up and said that they just discontinued the side hack. With the moco doing this, it just makes sense that they are focusing more on the trike, and that within a couple years a CVO trike would be a natural step to increase more money for the company.

Not sure, but there is a member (Dean_Nelson) that was affiliated w/a trike conversion company that had converted CVO's in the past.

I'm certain they're working on it, maybe just on the back burner until the economy completely recovers? I read sometime ago about a trike they custom built for Willie G. Then I was at the museum last September and found this sitting upstairs where the restoration projects are performed...

I think that would be relative to how many of the current trikes they are selling. Anybody know how well trike sales are going for the MoCo now?

That's a good looking trike.  Guess they must be thinking along those lines then.  Who knows, we may see one this year sometime.  :-X  spyder

Glad you shared this pic........it is good looking and I could see where it would be the basis for a CVO Trike prototype.  spyder

I saw a chick in southern Wisconsin with a Yellow CVO Trike. It must have been a 2005 SEEG. Obviously aftermarket, and she probably paid a mint for it to be done, but it looked great. She's on BON and has some pics there.
