Just a quick note for you gopro users.  In one of the extension packs that go pro sells (separate from the handlebar paks of course) is a odd shaped white rubber piece.  This rubber piece fits into the pinch locking mechanism.  The round loop part goes over the thumb screw.  This stops the mounts from opening up, the screw loosening off and reduces vibration.  Hope this helps someone.

I figured out what that white piece was in my Motorsports Go Pro kit, but have not used it, I probably should.  What I did find was that the male mount clips once into the socket fits loose.  The post will move around quite a bit creating more vibration in the video.  Maybe the white safety piece will help that out, not sure.  What I had to do was I cut up an old credit or freebie card of some type and slid a small strip under the male mount when sliding it into the mount.  This worked as a wedge and took all the vibration out of the post mount and inproved my videos.  Maybe the male clip needs to be loose to slide in, but not that loose.

i bought a new mount i found on line and modified my techmount to fit with it, havent been able to ride yet but its a much more rigid mount now and i dont feel like i could loose the camera

i removed the bottom piece and attached the top piece to my techmount

Hello naitram.

How did this mounting set up hold up. I am thinking of getting the Go-pro Hero2 and using the same mounting system.

Just wondering.....at 1080 res. on a 32 GB SD Card how many hours of video do you get with the GoPro?

Also does the battery actually last 2.5 hours? I am thinking of also getting the Battery BAC PAC for the extra battery life.

i run at 720p to get widescreen video, ive never let it run indefinitely. the longest single video i did was about 19 minutes and was 1.1GB

when running in picture mode taking pics every 30 seconds the battery has lasted about 3.5 hrs

Some low budget mounting solutions for the gopro on my 2011 FLHXSE2. It's very hard to mount te camera in front of the bike. Here are some things i came up with

Just stick it next to the headlight. There's a small flat piece on the batwing. The result on top of the batwing are al bit shaky

At the rear of the bike. I used the piece of plastic on top of the box the camera came with.

Can you tell the GoPro that it is mounted upside down, so when you view it, it doesn't playback upside down?
