and reasonably priced for leds if they are bright enough.

Head light and 2 spotlights are $909.90 plus tax.
Where does the reasonably priced part come in?

very expensive. I wonder how the candlepower compares to HIDs? HID headlamps put out 3X stock output and the bulbs last 10X longer, with about half the power consumption of stock halogen.

An led streetlight is over 4000.00 The light color is like real sunlight. Kinda eerie till you get use to it
a good led flashlight that many firefighters use (because they light through smoke and fog are 4-800 dollars at least they were a year or so ago. This is a good deal if the candlepower is acceptable. I cant wait to see one in the dark. I have the HID units on my bike and LED's should be brighter than that and work better in the fog. That would be a good thing in my area. Im happy with my HID but if I had yet to buy, I would take a close look.

New LED Headlights and Running Lights for Touring Models
« Reply #8 on: August 01, 2010, 07:32:34 PM »

I was at the dealer yesterday and was told by the GM that Harley is coming out in the next few weeks with a LED replacement for the main Headlight and also for the Running lights on the Touring models. He stated that they will be twice as bright and draw less current than the stock lamps. Has anyone else heard this or know of this new replacement? I'm up for more visibility and sight at night!!

Best I can tell from the automotive LED headlamps, they are somewhere between standard halogen lights and HID in brightness/intensity/range.  For over $900, I'd expect a lot more than that.  In fact, for $900 I'd expect to have Willy G. personally install them and then buy me lunch for the next 6 months.

My experience also is that good LED lights are an improvement over halogen but are a step behind HID.  Given what even the average HID kits can be bought for anymore that makes this light a tough call due to its price point.

One place where it might have a home would be Road King installations though.  A couple of ballasts, a GDO module and anything else that might be added can really stuff a headlight a nacelle.

I just bought a bunch of LED lights for my firefighters (Streamlights).  Retailed for $85 got them (quantity) for $55 each.  Great lights - very bright.

Well as much as these lights might be a great add-on I have totally lost interest in this product due to the heavy price tag!! GM didn't inform me of the golden price tag. :'(
