My 2010 has only 450 miles on it, so I was very nervous when the 2011's came out.  Looks like some cool features but at an added cost.  Not a big fan of the lowers, so no real value add there for me.  Its about time they did something with the stereo.  I am wondering if its worth it or not considering the cost of the Biketronics amp and 6.5" speakers I installed.

I like the ipod system but $400 for HD cable seems crazy.  I found this searching on the web for a lot less.  Looks like the same thing to me.

52" long, looks like maybe it could be in the saddle bag like the HD.

Maybe the same cable????

Also found a cool handle bar ipod mount if anyone's interested.  Cheap.

The only difference it that with the HD module you can control the IPOD through the handlebar controls...read below...

Like everyone else I like the one I have. Just nature. The 11's do have some cool features and good colors but not a big enough difference for me to change. Besides I have the 10 almost where I want it :orange:

Not the same cable but you can get this one on Ebay $39.95 and the difference is their labor or wire it yourself.  :nixweiss:

instructions are here on the forum just search.
www.ridersclaw.com forum vendor gives a discount on chrome handlebar mount.  :2vrolijk_21:

while it wont display the playlist on the radio al the functions are in easy reach on the bars. Only advantage to being in the saddlebag is if it starts raining its safer in there?  :nixweiss:

Another advantage is that you don't have remove it everytime you stop somewhere that you are not standing right next to the bike. I like the idea of putting it in the bags--one less thing hanging on the bars, one less wire to have on the bars--and the big one for me--if you make the install nice and neat, what do you do with the wire tied to the bars when you don't brong your IPOD? This way if the IPOD is not connected, the open connection is safe from harm and moisture inside the bags.

I really like the black diamond, but nothing new in the way of drivetrain or anything. I'm happy with mine, and I still have a couple things to add :)

Only thing I envy is the 19" front wheel.  That looks pretty hot.  I might have to buy one of those for my Rummy.

That 19" wheel looks nice but there isn't a whole lot of rubber between the wheel & the pavement. I wonder if its a harsher ride....

Regrets, I've had a few  ;D  But buying the Spiced Rummer was not one of them.  I wouldn't trade it for anything that I seen so far.  Besides, having "harley envy" is inevitable, it's why even though we swear we're going to "keep this bike forever", we rarely do ;)

In the side by side pics posted it looked like the 19" had a lower profile tire.  If that's the case, I can tell you from experience, yes, it makes a difference in the ride quality.  If it is a lower profile tire, you better have some mighty nice roads all around you. :nervous:

Wouldn't you think that the MOCO adjusted the fork and possibly shock compression damping to compensate for this? As cars have gone to lower and lower profile tires, suspension tuning has been adjusted for just this reason. If the wheel/tire combination weighs more than the 18" setup, rebound damping would have to be changed a little too.

Uh.. No... I don't think the moco thought of that. Why would they? I think they know the bike will sell based on the cool factor.. so what if it has a slightly harsher ride. There were no changes to the suspension according the 2011 Model Year Technical sheet that is posted elsewhere on this forum.
