My ass looks fat and doesnt match......
« on: August 03, 2010, 10:11:30 PM »

Ok,

So if you missed my "I need a screw",  this is the same type... I need opinions!

2008 SERK w/ Color Matched Hard Bags....

I have the Leather TourPak and a SunDowner seat w/ drivers backrest.

With the TourPak off,  the stock sissy bar wont fit over the big fat Sundowner,  and it looks silly with the drivers backrest as the passenger portion of the seat is HUGE!

With the TourPak on,  the drivers  backrest looks ok,  but now the Leather TourPak doesnt match the bags...

Put on my Corbin Solo (which requires switching out all the mounting hardware)

Do I:

Get a higher sissy bar w/ pad to match the drivers back rest?

Get a chopped TourPak and paint it to match the bags? (and give up the capacity of the Leather TourPak)

Suffer w/o the driver back rest?

Sell it and buy a CanAm Spyder Touring Bike....

Ideas?

Scott

(ps if you have a cheap chopped tourpak let me know!)

Based on the title I'd say hit the gym and stop eating so many Cheetos!

I would get the higher bar and pad..

I'm glad you posted this as I was just about to order a Sundowner, now I will get the higher bar and matching pad as well.
How comfortable is the downer?

I love the sundowner, it is the most comfortable mfg or aftermarket seat I have been on.  It does have a few things to be prewarned about.  It will move you closer and lower a bit,  and the rider backrest pushes you too far forward.  I had to get the larger pad and have the uprights of the backrest bent back a little....  The little things you dont think about

Thanks
Closer and lower may not be good as I'm 6'2". I think I will compare with the tall boy. I would sure be nice if you could try before you buy.
