Has anybody put this on yet?
What would it take to install one with the fuel tank retofit?
Holes drilled? Edge ground off? Band saw? :nixweiss:
Thanks in advance,
Dan

From what I have read, these parts do nothing and are a waste of money even at $30.00 for the set.   Doc

Hmmm, so Doc and the TS echo each other.  Guess I won't be throwing money here.  Thank you.

Greetings,

Like all kids I saw them and had to try them.  Did seem to make the air behind the windshield a bit more still.  The reason I like them, and yes they be but ugly, is that they seem to cut down on some of the engine noise.   My 3000 rpm tick is less noticeable, not gone - still damned annoying, and engine noise in general seems to have diminished.   Maybe it's all in my head cause I need to justify spending the $30.

Guess so!  I went on a business trip to Oklahoma this past week and the wife said no call from the dealer:nixweiss:  I totally forgot...I'll give them a call Monday.

OK, as I still ride an airhead and a chromehead in addition to the SERG, I'm not certain noise is a friend, so maybe there's a future.  So,

Bought them last week, put one on  ( right side ) and went on highway ride. I locked cruise control at 75mph, I found a decent amount of air reduction on the side with the deflector. Left side still stirred up air (from bottom up). IMHO they are worthwhile. FYI, I have lowers ( old style ) and I have not done the fuel tank recall, don't think they will clip on with the recall mod.

I've done the fuel tank recall and I don't see that they will work. Now I got to drive 80 miles back to the dealer to return. That's what I get for not reading the post first.

I am flat out surprised they would release a product that does not work with the recalled tank mount.  After all, it WAS a mandatory safety recall.
