SESG the new SEUC? Thoughts on 2012 ....
« on: August 05, 2010, 08:07:58 PM »

Just curious as to what you guys are thinking beyond 2011. Amazing that the SEUC has had a 6yr run when CVO was supposed to be (and for other models) a 2 year run. They seem to have been going with the market rather than the model - i.e. - if we can sell CVO (Insert Model Here) for (Insert Number Of years Here) we will do it.

The press from what I have read still thinks it's 2yrs - I personally think the SESG is here to stay and will eclipse all other model runs for sales.

Your thoughts?

Unfortunately I think you are correct! The Cvo street glide is here to stay! Wish they would only do the 2 year run, would really help ours hold value! As long as they can keep selling them at top dollar they will IMO.

It will still be in the lineup for 2012, but it will be assembled in China.

Remember, the Street Glide was a spin off and derived from the 04/05 SEEG.  Who knows, maybe there's another new model around the corner. :nixweiss:

Stripped down, hot rod version of the Electra Glide Standard.  Can't tell you how (or who) decided to make the Street Glide model.....just what the reviews were saying back when the Street Glides first came out. :nixweiss:

Cool ... thanks for the history. I always wondered where the inspiration came from.

I don't know what made me think of it but in 96 I was on my way in to buy a standard and have the dealer strip it down and start building a bike somewhat like the SG. I think I had seen one on the road somewhere. When I walked in there it was, the exact bike I was thinking of. I rode out the door with it.

Well said JCZ..!

We had to wait 6 years for the MOCO to go back full circle...I do like the SESG for 2011 cause it reminds me of the 04/04 SEEG's...

Ah...the good old days..
