The following weekend I headed south through san diego, across rte 8 through Gila Bend, and on up to Prescott. Kept the mph locked in with the weather - About 110-115 most of the way across the southern desert.  8)

One of my favorites from this trip - the old Mother Road dealership in Kingman AZ. Freight train rolling past in the background. Like a "new meets old" catalog shot!

Former copper mining and brothel capital of old AZ, Jerome. Beautiful landscape too.
So what's that - like 50 or so more til I get my model engine? The weekends keep coming.
