They come standard with 2 1/4 in baffle. If you didnt specify otherwise, this is likely what you have.    Race baffle is 2.5 inch and quiet is 2"

I'm trying to decide what to go with 4" Rineharts (duals) or D&D 2 into 1 Fat Cats. I know the D&D's will perform better but i don't think they have the sound i'm wanting even with the Big Bore unwrapped baffle.  :confused5:

I have power duals already so I am just gonna go with some Rinehart 4 inch for a while.  The Fatcat has tempted me but I have heard it with the performance baffle and it sounds nothing like a harley is supposed to sound to me. . More like an airplane or Nascar. Very midrangy growl.   Id like to hear one with the quiet baffle in person.  There are some clips on you tube.

Have ANY of you guys that have installed or heard the 4 inch Rinehart's heard the CFR's as well and could compare sounds in some way ?  Really hoping someone out there has heard both and could chime in with their thoughts....

I have not heard the Rineharts in person yet but I have a set on the way.

I did have a pair of the CFRS recently and I only had em on 1 day.  They looked fantastic and my initial reaction to the sound was that they were pretty bad ass and I enjoyed them initially.  But the tune did not match well, and I was going to do some tuning, but I had subsequently read about how some people had had difficulty trying to tune them and the lack of response below three thousand rpm.  So the bike didnt run great with them on and I was concerned with whether Id be able to get em dialed in with some v tunes but I took a ride that was 2 hours round trip that night and they were just too loud for me on a more extended ride and the tone of them became irritating.  Maybe the sound of them would have changed with a good tune, but nevertheless  I decided to forgo tuning attempts and just put em up for sale. The same thing the guy I bought em from did.  He had em on for less than 100 miles.

Thanks Dennis...appreciate the response.  I had the CFR's on my SERK and put just over 27 thousand miles on them.  You're right about the tune, not the easiest or the best to work with for sure.  I really am interested in the Rinehart's though, when you get yours on could you post back here and let me know what you think ?  Really interested in how the sound compares.

Thanks again friend  :2vrolijk_21:

I'm about to pull the trigger on the 4" Rineharts, but I hope they have a louder and deeper growl than my 2.25" fullsac baffles.....anyone heard both to compare?

Those do look nice and I don't want to offend anyone but imo the boom cans look best (really fill the gap) and sound great. They got a lot of attention at sturgis.

Any idea which size baffles he has? Mine are the 2.25", which are supposedly much louder than the 1.75" ones, so if he only has the 1.75" baffles, that might not be saying much.

Thanks though- I sure hope your right!

Mike they have been made by several companies but I got mine from bub. They are $350. I never checked performance. They sound awesome.  Wheelsnkeels gave me the idea and if you go to YouTube and research boom cans he has his tequila sunrise on there with stock headpipe and after with Vance and Hines header.

I don't know if my phone will let me add the link but here we go.http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=43290.msg657684#msg657684. If this doesn't work search 2010 se street glide exhaust........what works. Wheels posted his video and also some behind images so you can see how well the slash cut angle and the size fit the gap and bag angle.
