2009 Road King Classic smooth profile spoked wheels
« on: August 10, 2010, 07:02:23 AM »

I have an 2009 Road King classic with smooth profile spoked wheels. Which around the spokes where it joins the rim the chrome is lifting. The same thing happened to my 2005 Road King classic, the wheels were replaced twice under warranty. so it is happening all over again, Harley assured me the fault had been rectified! Has anyone else had or got the same problem? my bike is always kept clean and not driven in the winter months.

Everclean,

I have a 2008 RKC with Chrome Profile Laced Aluminum wheels from new.  I've riden the bike 35K miles through everything except snow covered roads and must admit I don't clean it very often.  The wheels still look to be in almost new condition.  Guess I was lucky for once.
