Rack help
« on: August 16, 2010, 10:35:07 AM »

I need some kind of storage for my FXDSE and did not want to go the saddle bag rout. I was thinking of a solo seat with a small chrome rack behind the seat where I could attach a small pouch/bag/pack or somthing. Anyway all of the racks I find for the Fat Bob say EXCEPT for FXDSE. Does anyone here have a solo seat with rack on a 09 FDXSE or even the stock seat with a small rack. I don't want the one which attatches to a backrest because I don't ride two-up.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tom

I see you changed the stock seat. You didn't like it?

Tabatha,
I just saw your other post. I see you were looking to move forward some? The new set looks nice. Thanks for posting the picture. How do you like your bike so far?

I can't imagine a better bike for me. It is comfortable(after a few changes), it is light enough for me to handle,it rides reasonably well,it now has plenty of "wheeeeee" factor---after a few more changes, and it handles as well as any Sporster that I have ridden.
I can honestly say that this FXDFSE will be in my garage for quite a while ! My avatar is the finished results of several mods.---but doesn't everybody customize theirs ?
btw---the stock seat with that steel bar across the seating area proved to be a real pain in the a$$ ! The new one is extremely comfy and contours to my setter much better ! Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine !!! :)

I saw this and remembered your post.  Check out this link: http://www.cavalrycustoms.com/store/product199.html ... Of course the descriptor for the Dyna Cargo Rack says, "except for FXDF and FXDFSE", but if your adventurous, you could get one and carefully spread the legs.  Good Luck.
