Ok d00d I want to hear XM radio or FM or CD then when a voice command from GPS starts it interrups and you hear thru radio speakers. If that is possible.
Then you probably want to look at this...

try this, it worked for my 550

http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/KT/detail.asp?SET=GPS2

CellSet MC/3 Audio Interface by Kennedy Technology Group - Allows a combo GPS/Music/Bluetooth device (e.g. Garmin 2820 or Zumo 550) to connect to both the Auxiliary Input AND the Intercom, using an external switch. This allows music to be heard from the combo device through the auxiliary input, but still permits voice prompts & phone calls through the intercom if listening to AM/FM/CD

I don't know first hand knowledge of this device but it may do what you want.

Didicated?? as in over riding the rest of the radio???
Yes, Dedicated as the front aux is when you have something pluged into it, it's turned on , and the radio is set to Aux nothing but the internal nav will over ride it. If a Garmine is pluged into the rear aux, I wouldn't think it would over ride any of the other radio functions such as FM if the radio is set to FM, thereby negating the necessity of hooking up the Garmin to a rear aux. That would by my question

You will hear anything the GPS is outputting when you have selected AUX on the radio. You will not be able to listen to radio or CD  (or factory XM radio) and have the GPS interupt it while not in the AUX setting. George's suggestion from above looks like an idea if you use you intercom setup. It does not look like it work through the speakers.
Thanks mjb765 maybe for now I will just get it working and see how it does. If I need to make any mods that have been provided in these posts it will be a winter project. I was hoping that there was just a simple plug and play cable that I needed. I am never that lucky.

OK, seriously, read this thread: http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=52242.0;all
There seems to be a problem with the new overlay harness. I'd wait a few weeks til HD figures out what the problem is.

Verdict still out on that product... you may want to read this thread - Instructions for the new GPS Interface Module before investing in it.

Gary, isn't this what I said in the first place? ??? Like I said, once you know there is the potential to have this product available, you are going to want to have it. Like I said, I'd wait a month or two until the MoCo gets their act together and makes this advertised product work the way it's claimed to. An alternative solution is to see what Jim Bliss has available. He was talking about a prototype being available in the not too distant future that may work with all Garmin products and not just firmware available from Harley.

AJ never disagreed w/that... first post and title was unclear (at least to me) as to what the OP was wanting. Then someone else was referring him (OP) to that product which we both know isn't working as advertised. :2vrolijk_21:

Well I think they have it worked out, they are changing the I sheet. I got it to work now, if you get it ONLY the HD RoadTech has the softwear to mute the radio to make the GPS play it's commands. Two pin where incorrect on the I sheet.

I have or had cellset on my bike, I put that piece of sh%t NIM on now. The only draw back with cellset is you have to use head phones if you don't mind it's great.

I purchased the Road Tech 660 and the Navigation interface module, I followed the directions exactly and went over it several times before I tried, does anyone know why the GPS does interupt the radio (a few seconds of silence), but the GPS commands do not come through the speakers. When I unplug the audio out, the command is audible from the gps.

Yes  Move the rocker switch that changes the speakers, near the ignition switch to the bottom position ( so the green light is on). I had the same problem hooking mine up.  Make sure the 19 and 31 pins are correct   READ EARLIER POSTINGS.
