Is it Two years on the 2009?

The warranty on all Harleys is two years from the time it is first placed in service, and is basically what we call in the auto industry a "bumper-to-bumper" warranty.  So yes, if your chrome is defective it is covered for two years.  The problem you may run into is that H-D and some of it's dealers have taken to trying to blame environmental factors for the failure of their cheap chrome.  Some folks who live near the coast have been told that the "salt air" caused their chrome to pit or flake off, for instance.  That is pure BS, but anyone who has dealt much with Harley lately shouldn't be surprised.

They already asked where I kept bike, "do you live near the Salt water". I told them it lives in a climate controlled garage and you can stop by and see for yourself.

Jimp.   Had my rear  brake lever, mirrors and shifter levers replaces under warranty. All where peeling.   Doc

That's BS, I could see if it were rusted, but I don't care where you live the chrome shouldn't flake off. Just a bad chrome process!

The local here tried to give me this one.." Policy is one piece of chrome per claim". 

I calmly said..." I dont care if it takes every piece of chrome in China, you will replace the defective material as aften as required during the 2 year period"....mirrors...watch them on the 09's.

I am screwed over the comp sprocket clunking...I hate the idea of them taking the bike apart and having it sit in the shop there for 6 weeks because there are no more se comp sprockets because the product improvement campaign has not started yet...fyi, the mirrors took 6 weeks.

So May of 2011 is your 2 year deadline. Should be, wait, its covered and they should apologize for there poor quality chrome and BS customer service. Is this a F*rman dealer.  Good Luck  or try another dealer in the Bay area.

I got email earlier to bring in and they will take care of it. Yes it is a Tampa dealer.

I just had my front shifter and r rear foot peg replaced. Asked to have mirrors replaced but was denied, because I live in Fl.

Yea, but that's not what I said to them. Look at your mirrors,on the front along the fins or what ever you want to call call them, hardly any chrome.

BTW, have you seen any of the 2011 CVO Street Glides around?
