2011 CVO Bars On My '09 SERG
« on: August 19, 2010, 06:45:34 PM »

Looks like the bars that are on the '11 CVO RG would be more comfortable . Can't see any reason they wont bolt right on to my '09 SERG. Has anyone made this change yet? or am I going to get the honor of doing the R&D on this one. They almost look like Ultra bars, Haven't sat on one yet..

Talked to them yesterday, $152.00 and 7 days, know my  local parts guy fairly well, no one is stocking them yet and when I order 'em I own 'em... Here we go...Just can't see why they won't work...

You might want to check the part numbers of the 2009 and 2011 to make sure the length of the internal wires, etc. are the same. You can re route the externals if it's close.

I measured the bars myself, the rise is the same. But the pull back is alot better then ours (09).

How much difference in the pullback compared to the 09?

As I remember when I had mine tore apart to install the WO 517s, there was plenty of wire left.  Many here have even gone to the WO 515s and higher without a word about having to order longer wires.  I'm guessing that would be big $$$ and a major PITA!

Look forward to pics and if you think the $152 is worth it.  Have been contemplating the Lindby bars for some time.
