Are you guys checking to make sure that your leg fairings are slid all the way to the outside edge of your crash bars?  There's a variance of about and inch or more, there.

I went to the dealer and they called HD. HD told the dealer to order me new parts and to push out the lowers as far as possible. We did this (3/4 inch) and rubbed out what we could on the paint. They want to see if it works before putting the replacement parts on. This should be a good test because the parts probably won't be here for a couple of months.

So far the factory is recomending changing the fork oil over to screamin eagle to shange the dampening. They are still waiting on chrome parts and sheet metal so they can fix everything on the SEEG. Should be in the shop in a week or so. I'll keep everyone informed on the outcome.... [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Dealer is waiting for new fender and lower.....both are trashed. To start with the Factory is recomending  the fork oil be changed to screamin eagle oil to stiffen the spring dive. .....still waiting for parts.... [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

All the parts are in now and the bike is at the dealer being repaired. According to HD I'm the first attempt at this repair they know of ( bullchit ). Their tec is ripping the forks apart as I post this. I should have the answer for the fix in a couple more days.

All seems to be fixed. HD preloaded the front forks with spacers, used heavy duty SE fork oil, and moved the lower bracket back about 1/4 inch. The forks are difinatly more stiff, but in my opinoin they were way to soft from the factory. All the chrome was also replaces, wheels, foot boards, mirror, front fender, right lower........

I could swear this exact same problem was posted a few months back and the problem was the dealership installed the fairing in to close to the bike. Hunt through some earlier posting and you will find the answer to the problem. I have been wrong once before.

Try loosening the fairing and see if they will go out further. I bet that is the problem. These guys are used to setting up fairings on Ultras where it doesn't matter how you mount the fairing.

Once they were loosened and pushed out as far as possible the problem was solved.  I have the blue one with about 6000 miles on it. Ride 2 up most of the time, done all the turns and even forced into a little off road action and mine has not touched.
