Another CVO but NOT the way I wanted it to happen.
« on: August 27, 2010, 08:50:31 PM »

My son has hit a hard patch economically and needed for me to take his 2009 Springer CVO off his hands. He wanted to try and get things sorted out and buy it back from me in the future. I have always loved the Springer and simply could not let this one go. I have ridden it two times and I am really enjoying it more and more. Quite a different experience but I'm liking it. He is looking forward to taking it off my hands but until that time I will enjoy it.

My favorite bike and color from 2009! Enjoy the ride! Nice thing to do for your son by the way.

Be careful, be very careful! After a couple more rides you won't want to give it back!

It was already that way BEFORE I rode it for the first time. I think with the wider tire and the Cobalt Blue paint and graphics, it's one of the top CVO's produced.......I keep feeling for the cruise control button!!! With only 1600 miles, I just couldn't part with it and destroy my sons goal of getting it back. I have never seen him take such good care of something. He does have a benefit, he rides it ONLY when I'm along.

Smart kid... just wait for the "Dad... can I borrow the keys?"

It's going to be deja vu for you!

We share the same two bikes. Two very different rides. My Springer is point and shoot. My SG wows you with it's comfort and refinement.

Great to hear from another double owner.......I keep reaching for the cruise control! Kinda like driving a BMW and having a sports car of some sort. The Springer is very ninble and fast. I am really liking it better and better with each ride. Finally got it back from its 1000 service.

Had an interesting conversation with Hoist at the New River GTG. Lot's of twisties in WVa and I commented that I would've loved it with the Springer. He made point that the Springer front end on the Softail frame isn't all that responsive. He wasn't condescemdig, just speaking from experience. With the D&D 2:1, the SG is quicker than my Sprimger. But that Springer is a grin.  You sit down. You sit low. It's real simple.

I am Lucky to Have a Roadking and a SE Springer. Enjoy them both, and they have their own personalities. My Wife even speaks of getting a Ultra Classic Next.....maybe the Special Edition. Yes.......I am a Lucky Man........... :orange:
Never had a problem with the handling of the Springer Front End.....

Both beautiful bikes and wonderful to be in a position to do it. Times are tuff especially in Indiana. I had 2 before I bought the SESG and used to ride them together with my son as well.

Nothing like sharing the wind with your kid.

You're a good man Charlie Brown!
