Vance & Hines Big Radius 2:2 - How to deeper the sound?
« on: August 29, 2010, 11:24:44 AM »

Hello!

I've mounted the V&H Big Radius 2-2 on my Springer and also added the Smartpartz Quiet Baffle. The sound level is ok but relatively high pitch and pretty metalic. So I'm looking for a trick to get a deeper sound. Any ideas?

Thank you in advance for your info

Greetings   Laurent

I'm running the BR 2 into 2 and I've gone with the Big City baffles and it sounds pretty tough. I would not recommend running without baffles completely.

Ok, thanks for your inputs.

Today I've removed all the baffles (V&H and Smartpartz) and yes effectively it has resulted in a deeper / more throaty sound... but also much much noisy!

So I've put in back only the Smartpartz, it a bit deeper than when combined with the V&H baffle and way less noisy.

Next step might be to try to combine Smartpartz with BCT quiet baffle. Wait & see, as anyway as the Big Radius heads towards the ground I doubt that I'll get a real deep sound.

Hi all,

Have a look here http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=40474.45

BCT QQ is the way to go, at least to my hears, to deeper the sound of the V&H Big Radius 2-2.
