I read a lot about people buying this accessory and I know to a CVO owner it's a small part of the investment. However if you, like me have an extra remote at home (or you can get one on line for under $10) place double sided tape on the back and reach into the under side of the inner fairing with a rag and Isopropyl alcohol. Clean the inside surface on the right rear and affix the remote inside with the activator button (assuming a 3 button remote) towards the bottom.

Every couple years change the battery and use a new piece of tape. no soldering no drilling no chrome probably the most boring mod you'll add to your bike?

But easy and damn convenient.

aaaremotes.com is a great place to order extra remotes.  I would call them to verify what you have and you can order a keychain size remote and program that for your garage door.  Stick that in your fairing mounted pouch and ride.

Oh yeah cool! I have a smaller,newer style remote. I'm going to install it on mine. Great idea, so simple. Thanks for the pics.
