2011 SESG in my garage!!!
« on: September 01, 2010, 01:22:14 PM »

Picked the bike up Saturday :orange:
Already put about 200 miles on it. I went from a 07 Street Glide and I'm just loving the torque and power increase. The dash is much nicer and easier to read, especially the 6th gear and cruise control lights. The cruise control also works better, snaps right on, the other bike had the kind of limbo area where you lost a couple mph intill it hit. I also like the cruise drive throttle and the clean looks.
The new frame is so much better, nice and stiff. No more flexing though the sweepers. The 19" front wheel makes the bike feel a little more nimble though the corners, and just looks great.
I'm a little concerned on the heat the bike is producing, it has been hot here, but this bike is putting out some major heat. I have a set of V&H Power Duals and slip on's on order and a Power Commander 5 on order. So I hope that solves most the heat issues. If anybody has some input on this I'm all ears.
The black fits my style fine, I really like all the colors offered, but I kind of like running under the radar if thats possable on a CVO.
Enough of the BS, here she is

Love the pictures.  I love mine also and experience the same heat issues that you are noticing.  It seems cooler than my 07 Ultra but still pretty hot.
THe temps here in Dallas have finally cooled off into the upper 90's and I am hoping the lower 90's are better!

Hey great colour choice nice looking bike.

I also knew my SE was running really hot, but since fitting V& H True Duals and High output mufflers along with the Thundermax Autotuner no problems at all. Just finsihed a 3,000 mile road trip in a week through the French Alps & Switzerland and bike performed fantastic. Would really recommend Thundermax Autotuner.. ;D

My last motorcycle I bought, a SEUC5, had similar heat issues as you describe. As soon as I replaced the headpipe with a not cat one and put in Fullsac baffles, and tuned the bike, the heat problem went away.

Thanks for the info guys.
I also wanted to give props to Thoroughbred Harley Davidson, a satellite store of HD of Cincinnati.
I've been dealing with them since 95, and never had a single issue with them.

Just keep looking on here for a LOT of ways to spend your money.  You think buying a CVO gets you all the way there, WRONG....... LOL

Hey if you don't mind ,describe the  " Black Diamond "  color on your new bike. Is there big silver flakes in the black or small silver flakes or what . I want one , but haven't seen that color in person yet . I thought the Inferno Orange and Black Diamond might be cool too, but I am a little hesitant about that orange. I will watch for  your answers. CD
