TTS error
« on: September 03, 2010, 05:09:34 PM »

When I try to save my ECM stock info, I get 'ecm access 1 denied!' at 35 % completion then it just stops.

Anyone else experienced this?

What are you using for cables USB or serial? We have seen this before with some of the various USB cable adapters that do not work with our product correctly.

I notice in your signature it say 2011. If that's what our working on that's your problem, as we have not released the 2011 product yet.

What is different on the 2011s from the 2010s, etc, that would prevent saving the oem file from the ecm?  Did the ecm change in 2011?

@Steve

I figured it out and wanted to share. I only own a Mac, so I tried to use my work laptop. We have a DLP-data loss protection system, which prevents data from being saved to and from USB devices. I borrowed a friends laptop which did not have this and did not receive the error.

I also discovered why I can't just use a 2010 map on my 2011. When you try to program it, you will get an error and it will not load.

All Model year 2011 bikes got new ECM's. Just HD screwing with things. We should be able to release a new software package the end of next week if we do not get any reports of problems using the current software release. V1.5.6 was released and it has all the changes we had to make to be able to handle the 2011 model year. There was a lot of things that had to be changed in it so we released this version after it passed in house testing. We just want to make sure we did not break anything for the previous years in it, prior to adding in the 2011 model year. When we do release 2011 it will NOT work on Softail model only as that is going to require new cables and hardware and those will not be ready until after the first of the year.

Are there any supposed 'improvements' with this new ECM or did the moco just change vendors or change things just because they could?

Still from Delphi and the Dyna, XL, Vrod all use the same calibration software as they did in 2007 - 2010. They just changed the ECM to screw with us aftermarket companies. The FL does have new calibration software but the current 2010 calibrations work just fine in them. We will release the new calibration level software and allow the 2010 level software as well to work in the 2011 FL's.

Now the Softail is all new hardware and software and that is why it's going to be awhile before we get those done.
