SEUC vs Standard Ultra Classic shocks
« on: September 07, 2010, 06:58:15 AM »

Are the rear shocks on a SEUC 09 stiffer and /or shorter than stock Ultra Classic shocks that would account for a harsh jolting ride.
Do i need progressives 440,940, ? Works, etc searched enough threads how do i decide 1 things certain something has to change, guess i shouldn`t have bought a cheap bike. :cherry:

The stock Ultra's and your bike have the same 13" air shocks.  The 09 and newer bikes take more air pressure than the 08 and older bikes.  many people riding 2 up are at 40-50 psi..  Have you tried air pressures.

I have the Works performance shocks on mine.  They are better than the 440's I had on my 2005 and better than the air shocks.  They could be better though.

Ive been up & down the pressure trials around 40ish seems to be better but cant cure the jarring nothing like the stock 08.
Dont mind spending to improve but it has to be an improvement.
