Can't wait to hear why Don says don't trust your attorney.   ;D

Hey!

There was a question mark after that :huepfenlol2: !

Rather than saying he shouldn't trust the shyster counselor only wondered if he did.  Just seemed ass-backwards odd to ask all the laymen here what we think after you've already hired a professional to do he job.

I haven't been down the lemon law road myself, so I'm not familiar with how attorneys handle the fee situation.  Do they take the cases on a contigency basis, or for a set fee up front?  That may have a lot to do with how they look at the merits of the case.  Fee up front, all cases are a slam dunk.  No fee unless they win, probably a little more selective before taking a case.

Twolane, never underestimate the value of the advice to be found on this site versus that of a paid professional.  Don't forget, those guys at your Harley dealer are "paid" and under some very liberal definitions might even be "professionals".  And we all know how often their answers are actually right. ;)

Wasn't underestimating the value of the knowledge base here Jerry.  Just considering the order of things.  I'd have asked for advice on counsel or process before hiring the former or beginning the latter.  But that's just me....

Has anyone used the lemon Law due to the fact that HD can't fix a problem with their Bike? I started the process yesterday and the attorney said it will not be a problem to have HD take back the bike. Will take up to 45 days.
WHAT BIKE DO YOU HAVE THAT IS A LEMON? :(......

The dealer tried to fix the bike after I filed. They are also going to try again. All HD told me was to work with the dealer. If they could not fix the starting problem the last 8 times I do not think it will happen this time.

Looks like they're giving you more ammunition to present your case. :nixweiss:

Have they given you a loaner bike on any of these stays at the dealership?

No they did not. When I asked HD they said it would be up to the dealer for a loaner.  Dealer has no free loaners.

No money up front. It's done on a contingency.

Just such an easy target.  If my buddies that are attorneys didn't also tell lawyer jokes I'd have more pause.  As is....  well....

Contingency? Does that mean if he wins you a new bike he gets 1/2 of it?

The VA lemon law states that HD pays his fees above what I get.
