I started out in the lumber business in the early 90's then moved over to the masonry side and sold block and brick for a few years. The last five years I have been in the equipment supply side of things. My company offers the equipment that contractors need to do their job's onsite. I rent or sell everything that gets you up to where you need to be from 10' up to 150'. Aerial only forklifts, booms and scissor lifts. Both RT and indoor type. We are a small company with 4 stores St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, MO. and now in Bloomington IL. I have to say this is the best company I have ever worked for and don't see myself going any where till I retire or they get tired of me! :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

Cool. I rent some of that type of equipment, but, purchase it most of the time.

Hopefully you had some available to help you with the clean up around your place after the ice storm. We sent some light towers down into NE Arkansas right after the storm. It's a shame what a storm like that does to the skyline in a storm like that. :-\

I changed jobs in July of 08 and moved, after 8 years, from the National Telecommuncations Administration to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) where I'm the Disaster Emergency Communications Programs Chief.  Working for FEMA has been great.  I plan on staying here for the rest of my Federal career.

Active duty Navy for 8 yrs.  Nuclear mechanic serving on subs.  Its not the best job at times but I'm serving my country and the Navy has defenitly taken care of me and my family.  My wife has had 2 major back surgeries totalling well over half a million bucks and I haven't paid one cent.  The pay is not bad either not to mention that I'm not going to get laid off anytime soon.

Well let's see, I am a project manager for a mid sized engineering firm in NYC.  I manage large scale roadway projects.  Currently on I-278 in Brooklyn, doing $152 million dollars of construction.  It's a lot of fun, and we have some great people in the industry.

I worked for a Natural Gas Co in the north east for 27 years, before retiring and moving to Florida..After 12 months of retirement, I went back to work in the Natural gas industry. I work on live gaslines under pressure. The duty I have is Hottapping steel high pressure lines. I drill holes in live lines through a Tapping fitting to liven up  or take out of service adjacent gaslines..I also respond and work on damaged..(blowing gas lines) hit by contractors while doing excavating with out proper line locations...35  years of service, no fires or injuries  :2vrolijk_21:

Is that why your code name is Screem? You could of gone w/ stopple but then nobody would know what you're talking about. Being in highways I got to see a lot of big and small lines tapped. Always exciting when gas started to blow. It always got the neighbors attention when they smelled the gas and thought they heard a jet engine.  ;)
