21 years ago, I started one of the first ten national VA programs to help homeless veterans of our military by providing them with a place to obtain rehabilitative and health care serivces to give them the opportunity to turn their lives around. The best part of that job was being able to see the results through what the veterans acoomplished afte completing the program. Today I am still working with veterans, but as the associate director and business manager of the Mental Health Division of a VA hospital in the Chicago area. I didn't make a lot of money doing what I chose to do, but it has its' rewards when I see the lives I had a part in helping change for the better.  :)

You're a stand up guy in my book man. I'm not a vet but you've got my thanks.

Great.....you and Don  (isellbulls) have something in common.  He sells bull semen to the dairies (so all the contented Calif. cows are his step children).  But don't ask me how he gets the bull's semen.....I don't want to know. :nervous:

Up until a few months ago I managed a medium sized national loan servicing company.  After 24 years in the collection business I want to do something more fun.  Currently on sabbatical for extended time trying to decide where I should move to.  Willing to go anywhere...Any ideas?

All I need is a slight nudge and I am moving.  By mid 2010, I promised myself that I will have a place picked out.  I thought about Charlotte.  Concerned about the heat/humidity...I lived in Marietta, GA for 7 yrs and hated the summers.

Been a dentist for 30 years and still lovin' it. Just won't accept the fact that I'm getting older, hence the name Indenial. First bike was 1972 Suzuki 250 street bike. Still have it and it runs perfect.

Rich,
The heat is something you get used to, the humidity takes a little longer!
The best part of living down here is you can ride all year and only want heated clothing 5 days out of the year.
I don't use heated clothing and still lride.

Having lived in Florida, Virgina, and New Jersey a good part of my life, you do get use to humidity, but now living somewhere with low humidity, I don't ever want to go back. I would like to ride everyday, but also like the change of seasons. We usually get a lot of winter riding in, may be 60 one day and then snow the next day, just depends on the jet stream. If I did go for a no winter area, I still look for low humidity, then heat doesn't feel as hot, and the cold doesn't feel as cold.

I could get used to 5 days of cold weather and go skiing or snowmobiling once in a while to experience some cold weather.  By fall of 2010 I will move.  Not sure where yet but it will be fun figuring that out.

I am the IT Director for a private High School on Long Island. Pretty much everything from planning and deployment of hardware and software right down to day to day administration. If you can tolerate any dealings with the kids, the time off makes up for it :huepfenlol2:

Retired in Feb. 09.

30 years with the same insurance company as a manager and agent.

Currently part time baby sitter for our two grandsons.  Best job I have ever had.  No pay just, pure enjoyment.
