My camping and riding partner, Ken...

He's got a 47 knuckle he's restoring.  He bought two original tank badges for $400, a set of 47 knuckle saddlebags for $1000.00 and a original fender light for $450.00.  See - there is a more expensive way to play motorcycle....

This guy has a sign asking 15K for the pile in the picture.  He calls it a 47 EL knuckle basket case.  He's partially right.  It's actually a 47 motor and trans, frame, tanks and fenders.  All else is a mixture of items not related to a 47 knuckle  - I don't think he had a clue of what he was trying to sell.  All of it looked as if it was under water in a swamp for the last 40 years.  And he would not sell anything seperate - all or nothing and no negotiating price.  Pretty sure it all went home with him...  Basket case was an accurate description....

All in all a fun trip.  Road thru a monsoon getting there.  Heat index in the 100's on Thursday.  Storm Thursday night.  Temps in the 50's Friday, 60's on Saturday.  Flat track races were fantastic as usual.  But camping still sucks...   :2vrolijk_21:
