TTS/SERT Question
« on: September 14, 2010, 08:16:03 PM »

I've heard you can have a SERT upgraded to a TTS Mastertune by sending it to Mastertune with a crisp $100 bill.  Does doing so clear the ECM lock on the original unit so it could possibly be used with a different bike?

Thanks Steve, I was hoping you'd see the question.  It was really a philosophical question, as I own a TTS, not a SERT.  Which, btw, not only am I VERY satisfied with, but I also recommend them all the time.

Can the SEPST be upgraded to MasterTune or does it require a complete install even if I have the SuperTuner?  Steve...?

Go here: http://www.mastertune.net/
The "updater" will get you the latest updates/versions when you have the product.
I have found customer support to be excellent.

We have not made an upgrade for the SEPST and are not looking at it at this time. The upgrade for the SERT was done as Harley will no longer support the customers that have them and we felt we needed to do something because after all it's our old product. The upgrade cost is basically a break even deal for us, but gets the customer into our newer product.

Thanks for the clarification. I have both the SERT (03 Fatboy) and the SEPST (10 SE Ultra) and was considering a move to your MasterTune from SEPST. I've been struggling to maximize performance using the SEPST and my guess is that the overlap of the cam isn't be handled well by the algorithyms in the SEPST. I'm also disappointed that I can't view/record AFR for BOTH the front and rear cylinder separately instead of an averaged value. Does MasterTune enable the user to see AFRs for both cylinders as a separate value?

Is there any software design advantage to the MasterTune software over SEPST that better addresses high overlap cams such as a Woods 408-6?

Will the Master Tune work on the 2011 harleys? Which would be better the Master Tune or the the Harley Pro Super tuner?

Mastertune currently works on 2011 HD bikes except the Softail. We hope to get the Softail Only version finish and out in the first quarter of 2011. It requires a new cable and interface and those are in process at this time.

Thanks Steve, any plans to add a suggestion page on your website which would cover things like injectors as even from Harley they have different sizes and angles available.
