2006 CVO Streetglide
« on: September 22, 2010, 02:40:41 PM »

I have a 2006 CVO Streetglide but can't find any information on a 2006 CVO Streetglide.  It is numbered from Harley 21/200 on the tank.  It has a Road King Tank, it is Candy Apple Green custom paint with "tears" like the paint has been torn open with Harley symbols underneath.  It came with matching air dams and chopped tour pak.  If anyone can help me out, it would be appreciate.  I have attached a pic.

How would you explain it having a Road King tank, air dams and chopped tour pak coming with the bike? The motor is also a SE 95.5 and 6 speed tranny.  I realize that the engine and tranny could have been upgraded.

That is correct.  In the back of the large MOCO catalog you will see paint set options. Some or most are a limited edition.  In 2006 H-D did not make a SESG nor did they make a SEEG, they had a SEUC.

I looked in the back of the catalog and that paint scheme is not there.  Just the paint doesn't explain the Road King tank that is on it or does it?

Yep, no CVO.  You sure it's an '06?  A 2007 would have the 6 speed and 95ci standard as that is the year they made the upgrade.  The Road King tank could be a swap when the paint set was purchased.  The limited to 200 is a giveaway.

I bought it used at the dealership that originally sold it new to one of their employees and the bike came into the dealership like this new.

All the above explanations are correct.....that is a limited edition paint set which is why it is numbered. Also....a 2006 CVO would have a 103" motor in it--not a 95". They made a CVO Fat Boy and a CVO Ultra Classic in 2006.

H-D did not ship this to a dealer with a "color shop" paint set. the original tins were removed and this paint set added. you could probaly have the dealer run your VIN and find out what color it shipped as.

The first CVO StreetGlide was in 2010 with a 110" motor. No such HD CVO SG animal existed before 2010.

Also, a CVO bike from 2006 would have silver and chrome engine/trans, not black.

Yes, the VIN is 2006.

That may be read as a 2007 model released in 2006.  Not being by my bike, I can't recall how the VIN works.  In any case, it would be most logical that it's a 2007 Street Glide with a paint set, tour pak and lowers added by the employeed that first bought if from the dealer.  I can't see them having make an engine upgrade for 8ci and a 6 speed trans when those items came the next year.

as to the road king tank, based on the picture provided. i dont see the graphics continue onto the tour pack the fairing or the lowers, so i'm going to assume that a road king paint set was used and that the other parts were color matched to the green
