Boob Vibration
« on: September 23, 2010, 11:46:55 AM »

Greetings,

Now that I have all of your attention I am really serious!   I have a 2009 S/E Roadglide that I put a chopped tour pack on using one of George's mounts.  My BSR is a small woman who was gifted by God with some fairly serious and ample chesticles.  I moved the tour pack back to the last mount so that the pups had room to breath and all was good.  On a trip to the Dragon from Ohio and back she complained that her boobs were vibrating so much and hurting that she actually had to hold them down with her arms.  Even at a stop there is a significant amount of buzz that comes through the backrest.   Anyone else have this kind of problem?   Looking for a solution.  She is a great BSR, with the obvious benifits that I've already mentioned, so I would like to fix this for her.  Yes, she was wearing the appropriate foundation garments!

Looking for vibration reduction ideas.   Thanks and no there will be no pics.

Possible solutions:

 1.  Have her ride topless.
 2.  See 1. above.
 3.  Move the tour pak forward so the "chesticles" rest against your back and you ride topless.
 4.  See 1. above.
 5.  Try a softer, more padded backrest.
 6.  See 1. above.
 7.  Give up a prayer of thanks!
 8.  De sensitize with your tongue for 1/2 hour prior to each ride.   :P   :P
 9.  Have her drive (topless) and you hold on to minimize annoying vibrations.
10.  Use a vibrating device to re direct her attention while riding.
11.  See 1. above.

Seems to me that she really needs to try another bike with tour pack, moved to appropriate position, of course!
I am ready to take on this challenge.
When you are in this area give me a call! LOL
Seriously, Check all your mounts back there, and do you notice any vibration solo? Chopped tour pack? What kind of pad? Stock one??
Maybe you SHOULD rent a UC and just give it a try for comparison.

I took a 2010 Ultra ltd with the 103" for a ride and my wife had complained about vibrations from the tour pack. When I mentioned it to the dealer all he said was thats unusual  :nixweiss: typical dealers answer

You said she had the appropriate foundation garments on but were they appropriate for the activity?  I have some lovely bras but they don't work well for long rides).  I have to second the sports bra recommendation.  I wear high impact sports bras when I ride because I'm usually out for 7-9 hours at a time.  Sports bras wick away moisture from around the band area (yes, we sweat there) and keep the girls locked and loaded.  The high impact sports bras offer more coverage and leave less out there to jiggle.  They may be hard to find in larger sizes (I know I struggle with the C cup) but they are worth the investment.

While jiggles may be desirable, it's painful for long hauls.  Riding braless should be considered off the list, unless you're riding for show (Daytona, Sturgis, etc).  Serious riding requires serious gear and the girls should be taken care of.

Geez, I really want to help. But it seems like the best thing to do is post a pic so we can visualize the actual problem.  ;)

My wife has similar issues and has the Kevlar type. I know they also make the cheap, plastic Chinese knock-offs...........but..........you get what you pay for!

Yikes!!!  I bet the Chinese ones have melamine in them....or asbestos.  *shudder*

Guys, I'll have my hubby work on a demo for you.....underwire vs sports bra ;).  I can't promise it will be pretty (or if the camera will break...hey, I'm the subject)....then I have to figure out how to get pics up here (15+ years on the Internet and I still don't know how to load pics....sheesh!).
