Has anyone had any issues installing the HD compass that replaces the temp guage?  After installing when trying to calibrate it, the compass continues to spin.  I have rechecked all the connections.  How long should it take to calibrate?  I rode for about 2 hours and it still had not stopped spinning counter clockwise.  Thanks

Sorry to hear of this. Almost bought one myself. Just cannot stand that useless temp guage. Others had problems if I recall correctly. Try a search.

Go to a parking lot and do slow circles (6 or so).  I know that this is the way we calibrate them in cars.

Sounds like you have more than a calibration issue though. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Thanks, I tried that no success.  I will have the dealer look at it.  To bad HD doesn't make quality accessories.

I have screwed with compasses in my motorhome and sometimes it is just a bitch.

I am always going east in my motorhome, never could calibrate the compass.  Now it's just a  joke when we go.

I am unable to set the time zone since it keeps spinning, have tried with no success.

Looks like I need to recalibrate the compass, mostly points to North.  If I remember right, Washington DC is Zone 12.  Would I need to recalibrate the compass on a trip to Nashville TN?

I tried to put one on my CVO V-Rod and all it did is spin. I even tried a electronic flux compass
without luck. Too much electrical interference around the bars.
