SEUC3 rebuild
« on: September 24, 2010, 09:51:31 AM »

After all the friendly welcomes in the new member section, I have learned you guys and gals are respectful, helpful, and knowledgeable. I bought a crashed 08 SEUC. It was hit fairly hard in the front left. The front end is unusable. The crash bar mounting pad on the left side is bent. In the deal that I struck, I received good used inner and outer fairings. I all ready had vented lowers and a crash bar sitting on the shelf. As well as other bits and pieces. The first pic is fresh off the truck and the second is two hours later after I nearly have the entire front end tore apart.

Do you get a Salvage title with that?

Frame is bent (mounting pad crashbar) can you get frame repaired without stripping?

I could not see the left side.

Did the front wheel survive?

Good luck with the project....

The bike did come with a salvage title. But that is ok with me. I want to keep it. The mounting pad should be no problem, but will let you know what it took to get it straight. As for the front wheel, there are no impact marks on it, but the axle is bent. I will probably go with a different style front wheel.

Are your intentions to rebuild it to CVO standards (Paint)

or taking the opportunity to go complete custom?

Did the tank survive

Hello Keats. I am going back to factory as much as I can. I already have a bike that is getting the royal treatment.
