I haven't been too impressed with the quality of the build on my 2011 cvo SG. (1) after 1200 miles, both cylinders are leaking oil at the base; (2) I took the stock forks off and replaced with Traxxion Dynamics forks. The oil seal gaskets on both forks, at the top, were shredded. It looks like they put the oil seal gasket just over the threads and wrenched them down, rather than pushing the seals all the way down over the threads before tightening them; (3) the clutch rattles loudly when in neutral with the clutch lever released. When you engage the lever, the noise goes away. Dealer pulled the cover and didn't find anything but acknowledged it was not normal and quite loud. I hope I don't continue to find more problems.

All problems can be fixed or repaired, it just takes money. (serious money, Traxxion for example)
The purchase of the bike is the down payment in the ownership experience.
By the time you have put miles on it, resolved most of the issues the value of the bike will only be half of your cost incurred.

I'm not one to complain too often but as I compare this motorcycle to others I have recently bought, I haven't had the same great experience this time. I thought by 5 years after introduction, that oil wouldn't be leaking out of 110 motor cylinders on a new bike.

Some how I believe you about the quality. I was told we didn't pay enough..

My 2010 has been perfect! I guess I'm lucky!

I hate to jinx myself, but so far the only issue I've had has been my CVO tank panel refusing to stay glued down ... two tries so far ... Knock on wood

2 Oil leaks, 2 seals needed to be replaced.  Two weeks apart.  Side cover on my bike doesnt even match and the correct one finally came in after 2 months!
HD has no idea how to make a CB work on this bike...
I still love this bike...

Thankfully, mine has been good to go with 5k and a 7 day trip with 3800 miles.  I'm not overly impressed with the front suspension and a few other gripes like the seat, motor performance.  But overall the HD SESG has lived-up to the build quality (2010 and no lay offs).   My experience is that most purchases irrespective of automotive, clothing or other fail to meet the grade - too expensive and overly sold IMHO.  In all honestly, the only purchase I have little to complain about is my Bentley Continental that has lived up to all expectation - maybe I'm being biased being a Brit.

I have had no problem with the seat (so far and thankfully).  I think its very comfortable for me.  I installed the back rest, highway pegs and a better windsheild. 
Doing the 5K service as we speak...

the paint has a few issues but so far they have been taken care of ,and new seat came in from other one Leaking after one wash.Love the stereo ,front shocks suck bad.Will be looking at new shocks and The clear coat had swirls in it from the day I picked it up,Other than that nice bike ,gets a lot of attention
