They make a huge profit on the ESP's (almost 100%).  That's why they will get you a refund for the unused portion of your ESP when you trade a bike in that still has an ESP on it.  They get no money for that  It's like any ESP you buy for anything (cars, electronics, appliances, etc.), the profit margin is huge for the selling dealer.  You got your ESP just about for cost.

Works for me....that takes care of the '11...now I need to go back to the dealer that sold me the ESP on the '10 to cancel it and get as much money as I can get back on that one

I have another question if it was already answered I apologize.I bought my new 09 FXSTSSE3 in March of this year and did not know you could buy the wheel and tire and ESP outside of the dealer I bought it at.I wish I would have known though cause I paid at least $2000 if not more and was wondering can I cancel the warranty since it has only been 7 months and then rebuy it cheaper somewhere else?

Good question.  Not sure if you can do that.  :nixweiss:  Don't forget, even though you're still under factory warranty, they will prorate your refund and I would venture a guess that you probably won't get back as much as you think you should and you'd probably be better off just keeping it and chalk up the experience for when you buy the next one.  JMO.

Obviously you can cancel it. As for the re-purchase I know if the bike is more than 90 days old it is more expensive. Since it is prorated, I have to agree you may not get as much back as you think.

Nope.....Called customer service..you can transfer the warranty to a new owner of the bike, but can't transfer the warranty to a different bike.

My father asked me to look into an ESP for his Tri Glide for him. From all that I've read, with a discount it should be around $1110. I've sent an email to Jenni to see what she says. However... This is the quote he got from Stormy Hill HD in FL:
"The Extended Service Plan for your trike can be purchased up to 5 years more.
Here is the breakdown:
1yr - $759 add $290 for tire and Wheel Coverage(road hazard only, not wear)
2yr - $964 add $290 for tire and Wheel Coverage(road hazard only, not wear)
3yr - $1149  add $290 for tire and Wheel Coverage(road hazard only, not wear)
4yr - $1354  add $365 for tire and Wheel Coverage(road hazard only, not wear)
5yr - $1644  add $365 for tire and Wheel Coverage(road hazard only, not wear)
Plus 7% sales tax on all."

That comes to $2009 + $140.63 tax for a grand total of $2149.63. Almost twice the discounted price!

AJ, who's giving 40+% discounts on the ESP?  Best I could find was 20% that Jenni gives, and now my dealer will, rather than lose the sale.
