QUESTION REGARDING IPOD INTERFACE MODULE KIT
« on: October 02, 2010, 05:18:35 PM »

Anyone know if the extension cable that comes with the optional iPod saddlebag mounting kit has a quick disconnect plug for when you remove the saddlebag?  I believe bikes that come with this kit installed as original equipment have a quick disconnect built into the cable just before the cable goes thru the bag.  Thanks for replies!   :drink:

On my sesg2 it is quick disconnect just outside the bag so you can take it off.  The end of the cable then drops under the fender, so don't forget to reconnect it :).  Crappy overall design if you ask me, but none of that will improve until we see a new headunit.

The extension cable is just that a male to female extension cord.  It is long enough to reach the saddlebag or tour-pak and the connector can be placed anywhere in that vicinity.  I placed mine just under the right side of the seat near the saddlebag for easy access.
