:confused5:    I assume you're talking about the ECM fuse.  If that is the case, you may be looking at the empty slot that is supposed to have a spare fuse in it.  There is a fuse for the ECM, then a fuse for the fuel pump, then an empty slot to hold a spare fuse.  When you look at the diagram on the cover it's easy to think the spare fuse slot is the one for the ECM.

If the ECM fuse actually was missing, the bike wouldn't be running.

I take it you're referring to your 08, and if so, are you sure it's not your exhaust control fuse?

This is the 15 amp fuse to the right of the 15 amp ignition fuse.  The three spare slots are located just under the Engine Control slot and call for a 5A, 15A and 30A spare.

Larry B.

You are correct on fuse dedicated to exhaust control and it is used for international models only. Took me a while to trace down the wiring diagrams and glad to know that I didn't lose a fuse.

Thanks for the tip.

If this is so, the shop manual is very confusing. I am slipping in a 15 amp fuse in the blank space so whatever it is controlling on my bike, if anything, will be covered.
