One less 2005 Cherry SEEG2
« on: October 04, 2010, 10:58:20 PM »

I traded my 05 Cherry SEEG2 on my current 10 SEUC Citrus about a year ago at a dealer about 1.5 hours away.  I stopped in over the weekend as I hadn't been there since last November.

Asked sales manager how the fellow was getting along with the 05 Cherry, and after a long pause, said "it burnt to the ground".  Fellow was riding it, smelled smoke, stopped and she burnt.  Total loss.

Then he stated, "come to think of it, he had a SE Vrod that fell off a trailer"..

My buddy and I said he had a good relationship with his insurance company(s)..  Sad waste of a fine bike if it was malicious.

Wasn't there, so I don't know what happened.  Had 43,000 great miles when I traded it in.  Don't have any good current pictures.  This one was on the Cabet Trail, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia last year with my daughter.

RIP..

If the guy really was going for insurance fraud that's some bad karma to kill a bike intentionally.  Even more so a bike like a red SEEG.  Most cars, buildings, any off road vehicle of any kind and a few people I've known would all be ok targets.  Nothing compelling about any of them.  But you don't kill a bike on purpose.  Just wrong.

Sure hope it wasn't on purpose, probably was not.  Just strange that he had 2 losses if the dealer sales person was telling the story right.

Hey Bob,,, really a sad story here,... We know what that bike meant to you. If it was intentional..remember the sayong,,, "what goes around- comes around".   try not to dwell on it... You had many a great ride on her. :(
