Tim your profile says Hillside cycles 107 kit. Is it actually the Axtell 107 kit with the domed pistons at 10.2 compression and maybe you threw in a .030 cometic gasket to bring it to 10.3? I understand the heads have to be worked to make the combustion chamber match the piston dome. If so i was very close to using that myself. The reason i didn't was because I had a very potent 96 incher with 10.5:1 compression and was tired of all the detonation when hot in stop and go driving. That in my humble opinion is why your throttle response is so good in addition to your cam choice. To compare the woods cam in your ride to a stock combustion chamber woods install is just not the same imho. it is just not the same animal. However i bet it is fun! By adding the Nos on my ride I can maintain some touring capabilities and when i run into someone like yourself i can spray it and win or lose it's all good! I too need to put mine on the dyno and get some numbers. I have a friend here in Seattle with the 107 Axtell kit and there is no way in my opinion a 110 with just a cam change will touch it. That is one bad mofo!! PS- I wouldn't call a 107 a small block!Good riding to ya!

your close bud,
it is a hillside 107 myself and big john got them from scott , we even drove up ther for his, and my  comp is 10.6.1 heads are cnc and hand ported with 2.0 int  and 1.64 exh valves ceramic coated exh in the ports to keep temps down  and increase exh velocity, and im running a .040  cometic,  cams are now advanced with no pinging (it was a problem  i figured it out) it wasnt in the timing or /or the heads , there  was another cure for that,  cool though the is more to the build than meets the eye, im not tellling  every thing , im very picky about my T.B matching my intake ports, and  i.e. different rocker ratios  pushrod depths  for different intake valve opening speeds. unshrouded intake  valves . different shaped valves for increased flows,  not all valves even though they might be the same diameter, dont  flow the same because of different designs,  that tw7h  has a great sound lope at idle and is quiet,  ive learned things on these since i was 18 when i bought my 1st harley  now 12 bikes later and many strokers,  there is a lot of power using a smaller lift cam,  and yes ive had n.o.s. to and turboed bikes,  it is fun   but as u already know the small n.o.s. bottle runs out,  mine did pretty quick,   this summer i did a great 2nd gear wheelie with gfriend on the back  up in erie on a trip,  front tire was 3 ft in air,  im 6-5 290 lbs she is 5.0  and 115  it was impressive  big john liked it,  hmmmm  maybe i should go back to n.o.s.  id have to strap on a 50 lb bottle :huepfenlol2:   wha hoooooooooooooo  click  zooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom

lol how you doing? Doing the grandpap thing here. Fatboi has a good post. Seems he is on the right road. If he is fifty plus he could join us and spank some of these kids. I am with you fatboi "spray, pray and keep it straight". I talked to Jim about the heads and smith bros about the pushrods, good deal. They have some nice pushrods. Good hearing from you. ;D

Big john and i do ride hard at times,  we  hit 120  very easy and often in 4th,  heck  4 of us rode here fron central pa to sturgis in 2 days,  when  going with higher comp, its called cool that oil down!!!!!  minimun  10 row jag no thermostat, fans on cooler optional,  the location of cooler should be on the down tube out in the air flow,  and of course  lower afr's too and in summer i always run straight 50 or 60 wt   use oil  filter adapters for the oil  coolers with no  thermostats ,flow more ,no stat to impede it, just make a cover in the cold weather.  , a jagg rep told me that, also bob woods to.   had 11.1 comp in my 116 .

still hate the 255 cam,  said that for the thread sake

We bore the OE cylinder to 3.934" with our proprietary Wiseco's that bring 88"-98", and 96"-107".
With a set of heads* that flow 285-290 @ 28", the Wood 408 cam, in a 107" WILL show 120/120 all day, on most any dyno, at SAE.
Smacks big torque off the bottom, and doesn't quit until 6000 plus rpms. :)

Hey  Scott! :coolblue:
Your Big  Green air filter with my doherty  backing plate   really makes a difference over zippers 3"!!!!,   had to make  3 spacers for the 3 mounting studs to the backing plate as it is longer than zippers filter,    Did a auto tune run this morn,  it was 48 degrees, the  ve tables  changed quite  a few values, especially 2500 to 4500 rpms,  i just left the filter open no cover!  im going to have to send my a.m.s. heads to you real soon,  i bet that tw7 cam  will really hit the upper  hp/trq limits ! :cucumber:

Ask the service manager at Seattle HD how his runs. He tore his down as it was bought used with no history only to find it had my heads and was an axtell 107" supplied by me as well. That one has a baby Woods 5 cam.
