I have recently noticed a smell of gear oil after riding the SERG 09 usually after 50 to 75 miles  only smell it when i stop . Using Amsoil in the motor and primary and Red Line HD Shockproof in the tranny....oil levels are normal....

How long have you been running Red Line in the Tranny?

If you just switched to Red Line you may notice a gear oil smell because that is what it is rather than motor oil in the tranny.  You don't get any smell from the motor oil but may notice a slight odor with Red Line Heavy Shockproof.

Not terribly unusual to get a whiff of real gear oil smell, especially when hot.  The transmission has a vent hose straight to atmosphere.

Skippy-I get the same smell on my SERG.  No leaks so it is probably the venting of the gearbox.  I run gear oil in the trans not engine oil
