2004 corbin solo
« on: October 11, 2010, 10:32:37 PM »

I have a 2004 corbin solo and pillion on my black and blue.  Can someone tell me what other models of bikes this seat fits?  want to sell but don't know what else it fits.  I have changed to a stretched tank and seat..this seat is 2 years old..Thanks...

I would be interested in it for my pumpkin, what do you want for the whole setup?   wpwarhawk@gmail.com

Is this the seat that mounts with the keylock system?

I can tell you that I tried a Classic solo for a Road King (#RKF-97) and it does not fit my SEEG, the nose is too long and rides on top of the console.

The 04 Road King is a real close fit.

Corbin actually borrowed my bike  (an 04 SEEG) for a couple of weeks to make the mold for the seat pan for the SEEG.  But up until then, a few of the SEEG owners were buying the Road King seat.  To my knowlege, it was the only other seat that fit, due to the dash panel on the tanks.

The seat will fit at least 2004 (and probably back to 1997) through 2007 model year Touring models with the use of the filler strip HD sells for use on EG's and RG's to cover the space between the front of the seat and the rear of the tank console, and Street Glides from '06 and '07.  Said another way, the CVO seat pan is (probably) the same seat that fits the Street Glide for '06 and '07 since the frame and tank consoles are the same (except for the console insert) on the SG as the CVO SEEG's for '04 and '05.  I say "probably" only because I don't work for Corbin and don't know for sure if Corbin tweaked the pan in some respect or another.

As a previous owner of an '07 FLHTC, I can tell you that the Corbin seats for the older bikes DO NOT fit the '06 and '07 models.  In '06 Harley went to a pair of plastic trays to hold the underseat wiring, and the Corbin seat pan hugs the frame so closely that the seat pan sits on these wiring trays instead of sitting on the frame.

I had a dual tour on my '05 Ultra, I loved that seat and kept it for my '07 Classic, only to find that it wouldn't work.
