2009 Road King Rear shocks Harsh
« on: October 13, 2010, 09:32:22 AM »

The rear shocks on my 09 Road King are really harsh no matter what air pressure. I nearly always ride two up. Has anyone upgraded theirs to a different make with good results??

There are several threads regarding replacement shocks, both air and conventional, Legends, Bitubo, Progressive, others.  Poke around the suspension postings and you will see what people like.  I went with Bitubos on my '07 SERK and like them a lot better than the stock ones.

I have Progressive 440 both leaked after 25000 miles riding solo. Now I have ordered Bitubos. 440s still bottomed out to much for me. So I hope the Bitubos are better. Billy
